SUSTAINABILITY AND SELF-RELIANCE Sustainability and self-reliance are some of the most important core-values of the Meet Kate Foundation. We realise, however, that many projects use these words mainly as meaningless buzzwords to acquire funds. Meet Kate goes beyond the popularity of the words and formulates a clear strategy at the start of every project to ensure the sustainability of the Meet Kate Foundation. A project can only be sustainable when local schemes are found and/or created to become financially independent of foreign aid. The most important income is the contributions made by parents of the children at the Daycare Center. We believe it is important that they are responsible for their children and wider community.
